This is the second work in the Voiceless series. Sisters play a children's word game, guessing what the other person sees. The game eventually takes an unexpected turn.
The reality is that my children’s daily lives and the violence and armed conflict occurring in distant places are simultaneously shaping the world. Undeniably, I sometimes turn away from this reality, even while fully aware of it. I can go about my life as if it has nothing to do with me, but I cannot distance myself any further.
Imagination allows us to inhabit people, places, and the unvoiced voices we do not see. It connects fragmented and isolated realities, giving them form and presence.
